Penn Central Car Movements #111 Part 5 / PC - B&O Action

 Greetings All,

Welcome Back to Penn Central Car Movements #111

Our three layout virtual op with my NYCTL interchanging freight traffic with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad continues today with the arrival of more of our inbound trains.

We open today with Train SP-10 crossing onto the Empire City High Line powered by a GP20-GP20-GP30-GP20 consist.
Train SP-10 rolls over the High Line towards Bedford Station.
The SP-10 comes thru Bedford as it heads to Terminal Yard with PCCM traffic for the Penn Central and interchange traffic for the B&O 16th Street Yard.
Kar Knocker watches Train SP-10 arrive in Terminal Yard.
The SP-10 motive power is spotted at the fuel rack.
Kar Knocker and Big Mike get to work on the SP-10 freight consist.
Two non PCCM tank cars are cut into the block of PCCM freight cars going to interchanged with the B&O for movement to the Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage Complex.
PCCM freight traffic from the SP-10 is shoved into the yard for movement to their respective Bedford consignees.
The B&O interchange traffic is spotted on track #8.
The SP-10 caboose is shoved into the caboose track.
Kar Knocker and Big Mike call it a day.
Over in 16th Street Yard the B&O crew is getting ready to make their moves.
The B&O Transfer heads to Terminal Yard.
The Transfer crew shoves the non PCCM interchange traffic into Terminal Yard.
The H16-44s couple up to the PCCM freight traffic.
Five coil coaches of Kings Port Steel are delivered to Pier 16 for export.
Next move is to work the TW&CS siding to pull a long string of 50' and 57' mechanical refrigerator cars. The BN, WFE and UPFE reefers have received their PCCM loads and will be moved with the others to 16th Street Yard.
PCCM freight traffic is spotted at the TW&CS siding. EL 50xx loaded with frozen meals from Cavendish Foods in Mayfield NY is spotter for unloading at Consolidated Grocery Distributors. APRR RBLs 60327 and 60358 loaded with veneer paneling are going to Empire Millwork.
Consigned to the Bendix Corporation are the HRC 40' boxcar loaded with storage racks from Battaglia Brothers Warehouse in Kings Port NY and PC 50' boxcars 229258 and 229408 loaded with bulk hardware from American Hardware Supply in Rock Ridge, NJ.
The B&O Transfer prepares to head back to 16th Street Yard.
The B&O shoves back to 16th Street Yard.
After tying their train down in 16th Street Yard the B&O power is seen coming out of the Terminal Yard tunnel. Huh...
The B&O engines have parked at RA Tower with a group of railfans.
Aha!!!! The word was out about a B&O Coal Train coming this way!!
The B&O Coal Train stops at the Empire Power Authority for the engines to cut off.
The F7As and H16-44s tie down in 16th Street Yard.
B&O Alco S2 #524 will move the loaded hoppers to the EPA.
The B&O EPA switcher delivers the black diamonds.
We'll cut it here for today with the B&O EPA crew tying down at the Empire Power Authority.
We'll pick it tomorrow with the Bedford Turn, Trains BT-27 / BT-28.

Penn Central Car Movements #111 Part 4 / Inbound Trains Begin To Arrive

   Greetings All,

Welcome Back to Penn Central Car Movements #111

Our three layout virtual op with my NYCTL interchanging freight traffic with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad continues today with the arrival of our inbound trains.

Due to the large amount of PCCM traffic descending on the NYCTL it will take five inbound installments to document all of the trains and car movements!!!

The Inbound action starts at Bedford Tower with hotshot train FAST-50 from Selkirk getting a highball from the tower operator.
The FAST-50, (Ford Auto Service Train) heads passes thru Bedford, NY.
The FAST-50 arrives in Terminal Yard.
The FAST-50 U-Boats tie down in the engine terminal.
Big Mike working the yard job confers with Kar Knocker as they prepare to inspect and then break down the FAST-50 consist.
Kar Knocker has cleared the train and Big Mike gets to work with the TOFC traffic from the KP&W Williams Yard.
The non PCCM TOFC traffic from the TOFC ramp gets shoved into Terminal Yard for movement towards Selkirk.
The Williams Yard TOFC traffic gets spotted at the TOFC ramp.
The FAST-50 caboose is shoved into the caboose track.
Big Mike sets up the PCCM traffic going to Bedford Park in Train BP-41.
Over in Bedford Park Yard engineer Robert R has reported for duty and will be working the local industries and Ford Plant with RS11 7608.
A loaded non PCCM WM boxcar gets pulled from American Hardware Supply.
Robert R starts pulling out non PCCM B&O loaded auto racks from the Ford Plant.
An empty non PCCM B&O 86' boxcar will be heading back to the B&O at Parma, Ohio.
Robert R has been cleared past Bedford Tower and proceeds towards Terminal Yard with Train BP-12.
The BP-12 rolls towards Terminal Yard.
Engineer Robert drops the 7608 in the engine terminal for service and will jump into the green truck for transport to the BP-41 freight train.
Robert R has climbed aboard the PC RS11 7600-7604 power lash up.
Train BP-41 makes the long shove towards Bedford Park.
After cutting off the caboose and non Ford Plant traffic Robert R begins to shove the auto parts traffic into the Ford Plant. The LV boxcar is loaded with batteries from Delco. The PRR 86'er is one of a group of PCCM cars loaded with Auto Parts from IDEAL Auto Parts in Rock Ridge, NJ. 
Another 86'er loaded with IDEAL Auto Parts is shoved into the Ford Plant.
An EBRR 86'er (not shown) and two APRR 86'ers get shoved into the Ford Plant with auto parts from IDEAL.
After working the Ford Plant Robert R shoves PC boxcar #160502 into All City Storage with a load of stored merchandise from Battaglia Brothers Warehouse in Kings Port, NY.
Two EBRR and two APRR cars loaded with auto parts from IDEAL are placed in Bedford Park Yard for movement to the Ford Plant.
We'll cut it here for today with engineer Robert R tying down in Bedford Park Yard. 
We'll pick it up tomorrow with Penn Central Train SP-10 rolling into town.

Memorial Day Special Intermodal Train 2025

Memorial Day Special Intermodal Train 2025 
On May 26, 2025 in honor of Memorial Day a Memorial Day Special Intermodal Train ran from Selkirk to Terminal Yard. This train was inspired by friend, fellow modeler and PCCM Co-Founder PC Ralph.
 
1:87 Emery III captures the 1776 leading the Memorial Day Special as it passes North Side Yard.
The Special arrives in Terminal Yard.
The Honoring Our Veterans locomotive backs thru the engine terminal wye.
The big GE ES44AH will be serviced and ready for its next assignment.
Catch the Memorial Day Special as it makes its way to Terminal Yard with a soundtrack fitting for the day.
