Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #74!!
The three layout virtual op with my N.Y.C.T.L. interchanging freight cars with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and
Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.
concludes today.
concludes today.
We start our concluding installment with the Long Island Railroad heading past T&R Gravel on their way to Empire Belt RRs North Side Yard in Empire City as part of a daily interchange of freight cars.
Of note is EL boxcar 73510 being loaded with bagged iron ore for a new industry on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division, the Port Owen Brick Company.
The L.I.R.R. Transfer arrives at North Side Yard.
1/87th scale Jimmy Alco has parked his engines next to the yard office and is greeted by the E.B.R.R. train men. After exchanging waybills 1/87th scale Jimmy Alco will take the Alcos on a runaround move to collect today's outbound cars for the L.I.R.R.
1/87th scale Jimmy Alco couples up his engines to the block of freight cars heading for Long Island RR served industries. PC gondola 288673 is loaded with storage tanks from A.C.C.O. going to West Chemical. GM&O is headed for Pilgrim State Hospital with new metal bed frames from Quality Fabrications.
A pair of NYC double door boxcars loaded with Zenith televisions are heading to the B. Gertz Warehouse in Jamaica NY.
1/87th scale Jimmy Alco brings the L.I.R.R. train over the Empire City viaduct as he heads for home.
Over at Terminal Yard 1/87th scale Big Mike has been called for Extra 6109. Kar Knocker has given it the OK and it's time for our last train of P.C.C.M. 74 to move out.
Extra 6109 departs Terminal Yard for T&R Gravel with four A.P.R.R. ballast hoppers and a PRR focal orange caboose.
Extra 6109 has uncoupled from the hoppers and is working the T&R Gravel siding.
The empty A.P.R.R. ballast hoppers are spotted for loading.
EL boxcar 73510 is re-spotted for continued loading. The short train heading back to Terminal Yard allows for it to be shoved back with the caboose leading to protect the shove.
Arriving back at Terminal Yard 1/87th scale Big Mike shoves AP 9416 loaded with ballast for the Kings Port Division and an L.I.R.R. hopper with ballast for the L.I.R.R. MOW Dept over the weigh in motion scale.
We'll close it out here with 1/87th sale Big Mike bringing the GP20s into the engine terminal.
Put it in the books!!!!
This concludes the N.Y.C.T.L.'s portion of P.C.C.M. 74.
Be sure to follow the action on
