Penn Central Car Movements #95 / Part 7 / Freight Deliveries Continue

 Greetings All,

Welcome Back to Penn Central Car Movements #95!!!

Our three layout virtual op with my NYCTL interchanging freight cars with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad continues today with the delivery of more of our inbound freight cars.

We open up at Bedford Tower with Robert R running Train BP-12 and getting clearance to proceed to Terminal Yard.

Train BP-12 heads to Terminal Yard.

Robert R has coupled up to four PCCM freight cars that are consigned to Bedford Park industries.

Train BP-41 heads to Bedford Park.

Robert R has brought the BP-41 into Bedford Park and gets ready to make a runaround move.

Rock Island boxcar #35062 loaded with TVs from Zenith is spotted at All-City Storage along with PC boxcar #160502 loaded with stored material from Battaglia Brother Warehouse.

Getting spotted at American Hardware Supply are APRR boxcars #4035 and #4182 loaded with bulk hardware from the large American Hardware Supply Distribution Center in Rock Ridge NJ.

With his PCCM work completed Robert R ties down in Bedford Park Yard and gets some well deserved time off. Good job Robert R!!

Back at Terminal Yard with no Bedford Turn running today Alco Joe gets called for Train EC-1 the transfer run from Terminal Yard to North Side Yard in Empire City. Alco Joe is facing a big decision today!

Wet Willie ask Alco Joe so what's it going to be? An Alco road switcher or cab unit? GP20s? U-Boats? The "Sir Neal"? Decisions, decisions...

The choice has been made!!! Wet Willie is turning the F7A-U28C-GP38-2 consist so the "Sir Neal" will be in the lead.

The power is coupled on and building up air pressure. After a terminal air test it will be time to go.

Train EC-1 rumbles towards Empire City.

Alco Joe brings the EC-1 into North Side Yard.

Cars for Empire City industries are left on track #3 and cars for interchange with the LIRR are doubled over and shoved back into track #2. That PC boxcar has to be the cleanest boxcar in town!

The PC guys check in with the EBRR crew as EBRR Senior Engineer Sir Neal looks over the APRR 358 and tells Alco Joe don't scratch the paint! Looks like a railfan chase is still on!

Alco Joe & conductor Murray head back to Terminal Yard.

We'll cut it here for today with Sir Neal and PC Ralph getting North Side Yard ready and the Belt Job blocked and ready to go.

We'll pick it up tomorrow with Sir Neal and conductor John working the Belt Job and then close it out with an interchange of freight cars with the Long Island RR.

Be sure to catch the action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See you tomorrow!!!

    West Mill out.

The BP-12/ BP-41 op continues to be an important move that is al;so enjoyable for local railfans who like the #9921 on the head end. I noted the nice looking orange APRR cars at American Hardware. Beautiful shots of the engine yard showing off some of the N.Y.C.T.L. roster! The F7A-U28C-GP39-2 with the Sir Neal in the lead was a nice motive power choice by Wet Willie! EC-1 was yet another long train in this series that is moving a lot of freight! Including pics of the freight car clean out added a nice bit of realism as a behind the scenes operation!
