Welcome back to P.C.C.M. 50K!!
This epic P.C.C.M. 50 series continues today with the N.Y.C.T.L., K.P.D. and A.P.R.R. running the trains needed to get the interchanged freight cars to their proper destinations.
On the N.Y.C.T.L.
It's another busy day at Terminal Yard
1/87th scale Alco Joe gets ready to board lead Alco #2417. Alco Joe fought hard to put this consist together and both he and Ford management enjoy seeing it on train BP-41 that serves the Ford Plant.
BP-41 pulls out on the lead with 1/87th scale Big Mike throwing the switch and the Yard Job at the ready to tack on the caboose. A short time later BP41 makes it's way past Bedford station.
Having gone thru the Empire City west side reverse curve BP-41 is back at Bedford Tower with 1/87th scale John B once again giving a roll by inspection and contemplating a transfer.
BP-41 pulls out the empties that came from ACME Auto Parts in Mayfield NY
The loaded 86' cars from IDEAL Auto Parts are shoved into position at the Ford Plant.
BP-41 has left PC hi cube boxcar # 272242 on the lead for the Bedford Park Yard switcher to pick up for it's next load.
Having reclaimed the four empty over sized boxcars and caboose 1/87th scale Alco Joe heads back to Terminal Yard as train BP-12.
With BP-12 back in Terminal Yard the Yard Job gets to work pulling off the caboose and sorting the cars.
Next assignment is to pull these reefers that originated at Elkhart from Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage.
The Yard Job next retrieves an A.P.R.R. RBL and the string of E.B.R.R. and A.P.R.R. mechanical reefers from the storage track.
The reefers from C&P Restaurant Supply in Rock Ridge NJ are now spotted at Terminal Warehouse and Cold Storage.
The three empty reefers from Elkhart are coupled up to the empty auto parts cars that came from West Mill. The loaded EL 57' reefer that was refueled yesterday needs to get over to North Side Yard for interchange with the L.I.R.R.
We'll wrap it up here for today with the EL reefer tacked onto the rear of the Bedford Local for delivery to North Side Yard. Those EMD SW8s are maxed out with this tonnage!
There's lots more rail action to come tomorrow so stay tuned!
Thanks for reading!!

Acknowledge dispatch of tran BP-41/ BP-12. and yard work at Terminal Yard.
West Moll out.
Nicely handled turnaround work at Ford which has been particularly busy this series! The KPD doesn't have a roster to support reefer traffic but admires them just the same.
10-4 West Mill!!!
DeleteThanks Ralph!! This installment certainly had some reefer madness included!
Really enjoyed the reefer madness invading Empire City! I'm glad management agreed with Alco Joe and kept the consist for BP-41 and BP-12. Makes for a fun consist to keep those auto parts rolling!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian! The four Alco consist is one of my favorite lash ups! Thanks to 1/87 Alco Joe for going to battle to put these engines together.
