New York - New Jersey Ops #5 / Part 3/ Dispatch of Outbound Trains*

 Greetings All,

Welcome Back to New York - New Jersey Ops #5!!!
Our fifth NY-NJ Virtual Op with my NYCTL interchanging freight traffic with Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad continues today with more train movements getting the outbound NYNJ freight cars moving out of Terminal Yard towards Rock Ridge Yard.

We open up our final outbound post with the terminal switcher gathering the cabooses from trains EB-2 and BT-27 that arrived in yesterday's post.
The cabooses are shoved into the caboose track.
A couple of hours later Kar Knocker has cleared both trains and Big Mike couples the SD9s up to the EB-2 freight consist.
After another hour or so Big Mike has the yard in order.
Big Mike makes his final moves.
Big Mike has tied down the SD9s at the sand rack and invites Wet Willie and Alco Joe out for some well earned adult beverages. Alco Joe declines the offer and tells the guys he has been called for the transfer train to BN Yard in the Bronx.
Alco Joe has coupled the pair of RS32s that will power tonight's Train DOJN to BN Yard in the Bronx (actual name of this train) and subsequent return as Train JODN (also the actual name of this train). Both trains left and returned to 72nd Street Yard in Manhattan.
Train DOJN departs Terminal Yard for BN Yard.
Next it's time to check in with the B&O and the 16th Street Yard Crew. They will have a hard days night in tonight!!
The B&O Transfer departs 16th Street Yard for Terminal Yard and the Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage Complex. I've broken down the moves into a few short videos which should make it easier to follow the action.
The crew works the TW&CS Complex.
Freight cars get delivered to TW&CS.
The B&O works the Pier 16 Grain Silos.
The B&O crew returns to 16th Street Yard.
A tired B&O crew ties down in 16th Street Yard and calls it a night.
Over in the engine terminal a PC engineer reports for Train SK-1 that will take NY-NJ freight traffic for the APRR to Selkirk.
Four GP30s are assigned to the SK-1 including Empire Belt #2160 which is on loan to the PC.
The GP30s slip and slide just like the prototype as they start to move the SK-1 tonnage.
Next stop Selkirk!!!
Thirty minutes later a second PC engineer is in the engine terminal  to pick up his locomotives for Train SK-3 that will haul more NY-NJ freight traffic for the APRR to Selkirk.
The GP38 and GP38-2s are coupled onto the SK-3 freight consist.
PC Train SK-3 departs Terminal Yard for Selkirk.
Next Stop Selkirk!!!
See you for the Inbound portion!!
This concludes NYNJ #5 Part 3 and the outbound portion on the NYCTL. Be sure to catch all the NYNJ action on Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad.
Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See you Friday!!!

    Rock Ridge Yard out!

An excellent outbound portion! This was non-stop action and the B&O crew earned every dollar today! Both outbound trains for the APRR will be ready as the Rock Ridge Yard crew is making the necessary adjustments to receive all inbound freight! The GP30 engines on SK-1 will need some attention at Selkirk.

    Great work Sir John!

  2. Thank you very much Sir Neal!!! I'm not sure what happened with the GP30s but one of them was actually slipping at the start of video. I kept thinking of Big Mike's comments that the GP30s would slip coming out of the roundhouse!! Strangely enough I separated the units after the run to find the offender and they all ran fine...
