Greetings All,
Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #98!!!
Our two layout virtual op with my NYCTL layout interchanging HO scale freight traffic with Ralph's Kings Port Division continues today with the Empire Belt delivering the PCCM freight traffic from Selkirk and interchanging freight cars with the LIRR at North Side Yard.
Alco Joe and conductor Murray are called for Penn Central Train EC-1, a transfer run to North Side Yard in Empire City to interchange freight traffic with the Empire Belt RR.
Train EC-1 is on the move.
The EC-1 gets a roll by inspection from the EBRR trainmen as it enters North Side Yard.
The Belt Job starts working the eastside industries.
PC boxcar #77047 loaded with cases of soda from Woodstock Hills All Natural Soda in Bloomberg, NY is spotted at the Ralph's Grocery Warehouse siding with a non PCCM Schaefer RBL loaded with cases of beer. Only the best beverages make it to Ralph's shelves!!
Empty EBRR gondola #509823 is spotted at Gervais Pipe and Fitting for its next PCCM load.
Now working the midtown industries the Belt Job spots this empty 50' HRC RBL at Empire Produce for its next PCCM load.
The Belt Job heads to the west side.
Now on the westside the Belt Job spots empty PC boxcar #104478 at City Pallet for its next PCCM load.
The Belt Job heads back to North Side Yard.
The Belt Job has returned to North Side Yard and is busy getting the yard and transfer run to Terminal Yard together. The empty PC gondolas along with the empty KP&W and PC covered hoppers need to be moved to PC served locations for their next PCCM loads.
LIRR Train MA-3 rolls thru Bedford toward North Side Yard. Turn up the volume!!!
LIRR Train MA-3 arrives in North Side Yard.
We'll cut it here for today with LIRR Train MA-4 heading back to Fresh Pond Yard.
We'll pick it up tomorrow with a long EB-2 train bringing PCCM and non PCCM cars to Terminal Yard. The op will then be turned back over to the PC to make their final moves and close PCCM 98.
Be sure to catch the action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division!!!

Nice work conveying the "beyond the basement" theme of railroad connection with interchanges between the PC, the EBRR and LIRR!
Our virtual ops cars log the mils and seem to really go places! Power choices for EC-1, the Belt Job, The LIRR transfer, the ex-NH that worked hard on the slide were all a pleasure to observe! I liked that video sequence with the train struggling against the Slide's grade! There were a lot of interesting open loads on that one! Speaking of cool rolling stock the Schaefer RBL ranks up there with your best! Green Reptile Railfan videos are a favorite of mine! Thanks to photographer emery for his diligence is photo documenting the action! That NYC commuter train is becoming a favorite of mine!

DeleteThank you very much Ralph!!! There were a lot of moving parts in this one and I'm happy I presented them in a cohesive and enjoyable to follow manner.
The Ex NH engines struggling up the slide was my favorite today. The other videos and photos were deemed to be to important to cut so that is why there will be a part 7 to close this out.
Perhaps this will become one of the Green Reptile Odyssey series?
Oh! I forgot to mention..Viva Las Vegas! I sure hope Neal is traveling by train to all of these great destinations!
