Penn Central Car Movements #85 . N.Y.C.T.L. Part 4 / The Inbound Cycle begins

Greetings All,

Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #85!!!

The inbound portions of this virtual op with my N.Y.C.T.L. interchanging freight trains with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR begins today.

Our first inbound train is Train SP-10 (Special-10) from Selkirk with freight cars from the Kings Port Division and Atlantic Pacific RR that are going to Penn Central served industries within Terminal Yard, Bedford Park and Bedford.

Train SP-10 makes its way to Terminal Yard

The Alco FA-FB-FA consist has cut from the train and enters the fuel rack in the engine terminal.

Big Mike once again working the yard job pulls the caboose from the SP-10 as Kar Knocker stands by to blue flag and inspect the train.

The caboose is shoved into the caboose track.

The blue flag has been removed and Big Mike gets to work on the inbound freight cars. These auto parts cars will be going to the Bedford Park Ford Plant.

Four empty PC PS-2 join empty EL boxcar #73510 for movement to T&R Gravel. PC boxcar #360063 will be going to Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage when Big Mikes services the yard limits industries.

Two tank cars of diesel fuel from the Gulf River Facility in West Mill NY are spotted for unloading.

Big Mike is now working the yard industries and spots empty PC boxcar #360063 at Terminal Warehouse and Cold Storage for its next PCCM load.

Also spotted at Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage are the EL Reefer loaded with frozen food from Cavendish Food & Spirits in Mayfield NY and a 40' Hoschton boxcar loaded with storage racks from Battaglia Brothers Warehouse in Kings Port NY.

Four TOFC cars from the KP&W Williams Yard ramp are spotted on the Terminal Yard TOFC Track.

Empty PC gondolas #576104 and #576123 get spotted at the engine terminal for PCCM loads of scrap steel.

Meanwhile over at Bedford Tower Robert R brings train BP-12 out of Bedford Park Yard and heads for Terminal Yard.

Train BP-12 arrives at Terminal Yard

Big Mike couples four boxcars for the Bedford Park Ford Plant onto the BP-12 caboose and pulls the freight consist out of track #8.

The cars for the Ford Plant are now on track #9, Kar Knocker has cleared the train and Robert R is ready to depart for Bedford Park Yard as Train BP-41.

BP-41 rolls thru Bedford towards Bedford Park.

The BP-41 is back in the cozy confines of Bedford Park Yard as Robert R prepares to make a runaround move. The PC/TOC, KP&W and NYC 60'ers are loaded with auto parts from ACME Auto Parts in Mayfield NY.

Robert R has made his runaround move and pulls the freight consist towards the Ford Plant. LV boxcar #8247 is loaded with car batteries from Delco in Flint MI.

We'll cut it here for today with three boxcars from ACME and one from Delco spotted at the Ford Plant.

We'll pick it up tomorrow at Terminal Yard starting with the Bedford Turn (Train BT-27) and more train arrivals from Selkirk.

Be sure to catch the action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See ya tomorrow!!!

SP-10 was a special train for more than one reason! That FA-FB-FA consist was a treat! Train meets are the order of the day on the N.Y.C.T.L. as SP-10 and BP-12 encounter freight and passenger trains. Nice looking PRR coaches on the passenger train! That was a great horn on BP-12! The EL reefer with the silver roof is looking good as a newer virtual ops car. I'm glad to include it in the mix! Great stuff John!

Thank you very much Ralph!!! It was a busy day at Bedford! The new EL virtual ops cars is a very nice addition to the PCCMs.

SP-10 or Special 10 carries blocks of freight traffic for PC served industries only so it rated a good time slot but old power. Go figure!

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

Nice start to the inbound. Train SP-10 was very impressive to watch rolling thru Bedford. I did like seeing the 4 PC engine consist with reefers headed to Selkirk. Those short freight moves between the yards add a lot more action to the railroad. I did see you had a visitor from the K.P.R.S? Can you confirm? Way to go Sir John!
