Penn Central Car Movements #82 / N.Y.C.T.L. Part 1 / The Outbound Cycle Begins

 Greetings All,

Welcome to Penn Central Car Movements #82!!!

This virtual op will once again be a three layout affair with my N.Y.C.T.L. interchanging freight cars with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR

The N.Y.C.T.L. will be taxed to max in the P.C.C.M. 82 outbound portions as there are seventy five PCCM freight cars, plus a slew of non PCCM cars, at various locations and industries that need to be moved. Let's see if the crews and clerks can get it done and keep track of it all.

We open up at Bedford Park Yard with engineer Robert R getting ready to start his day with his Alco S4.

First stop is American Hardware Supply to pull PC boxcar #272742 loaded with bulk hardware for Peerless Appliance in Mayfield NY.

Next move is to pull two empty Evans coil coaches from the Ford Plant for return to Kings Port Steel.

Robert R has runaround the coil coaches and shoves into the All City Storage Co. siding to pull out empty Rock Island boxcar #35062.

Empty Rock Island boxcar #35062 then gets spotted at the Bedford Park American Hardware Supply for its next PCCM load.

Robert R has the train back together and heads back over to the Ford Plant.

A minor delay as the conductor has gone into Ford to have a dockworker close and lock the doors as clearly stated on EBRR boxcar #608279 before they will accept it for movement.

A short time later empty auto parts boxcars EBRR #608279, NYC #67086 and PRR #125291 are pulled from the Ford Plant to be forwarded to ACME Auto Parts in Mayfield NY.

Robert R brings the freight cars from Bedford Park, now known as Train BP-12, thru Bedford on his way to Terminal Yard.

Train BP-12 arrives at Terminal Yard.

After cutting off from the train Robert R brings his S4 to the fuel pad in the Terminal Yard engine terminal.

Kar Knocker is out to blue flag and inspect the train as Big Mike working the yard job pulls off the caboose.

Next we turn our attention to a high powered conference at the Empire Belt RRs North Side Yard conference room / parking lot.

EBRR Senior Engineer Sir Neal will be running transfer train EB-2 to Terminal Yard with a pair of GP9s and FAs. Below conductor John's caboose gets tacked on.

Sir Neal couples up to the head end and will depart after an air test.

The EB-2 eases out of North Side Yard. AP RBLs #60382 and #60394 are loaded with bulk paper from Moore & Co in Empire City for Marcal in Rock Ridge NJ.

Gondolas from the EBRR, MCRR and KP&W loaded with pipe from Gervais Pipe also in Empire City begin their journey to the Hudson Valley Ag Coop via the KP&W's Williams Yard in Kings Port NY.

Sir Neal rattles the windows of Bedford with four diesels in notch 8 and a long freight consist heading for Terminal Yard.

Senior engineer Sir Neal brings the EB-2 into Terminal Yard.

We'll cut it here for today with Sir Neal easing his consist into the fuel rack after cutting from the train.

We'll pick it up tomorrow with PC Ralph running the Empire Belt RR's Morning Industrial Job out of North Side Yard to service the Empire City industries.

Be sure to catch the action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See ya tomorrow!!!

    West Mill out.

The N.Y.C.T.L. is working with a record breaking number of cars this time! The first steps are looking great! I liked the side story about the open doors on EBRR 608279. The GP9s and FAs are a railfan favorite consist for the EB-2. Shots of the engine yard are always impressive!

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

Let the moves begin! Bedford Park is the best place to rail fan, in my opinion. You can see that 4 engine consist of train EB-2 heading to Terminal Yard. Nice to see the Ford Plant keeping up with the demand for autos as seen in the empty auto racks ready to be loaded!
