Greetings All,
Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #76!
The three layout virtual op with my N.Y.C.T.L. interchanging freight cars with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR concludes today. Finally!!!😀
We open up our final installment at Bedford Park Yard where engineer Robert R gets the word that the Ford Plant needs a switch, delivery of two auto parts cars and a carload of vehicle batteries.
Robert R drags a pair of non P.C.C.M. empty tank cars going to Terminal Yard from the Bedford Park Yard and heads towards the Ford Plant to begin the switching moves.
Four empty 60' boxcars are pulled from Ford for return to ACME and IDEAL Auto Parts. The tank cars are placed between the boxcars for crew safety.Train BP-12A arrives at Terminal Yard and the engine is cut off.
Robert R pulls out the cars he needs for the Ford Plant.
The caboose is reclaimed and Train BP-41A leaves Terminal Yard.
NYC and PRR 86' boxcars of auto parts from ACME Auto Parts in Mayfield NY are shoved into the Ford Plant siding.
The inbound freight cars from the L.I.R.R. are spotted on track #2. The locomotives are tied down on the yard lead as engineer Jimmy Alco tends to some emergency business.
That's Jimmy Alco making a quick run to Pizza Land to pick up a phone in order from the L.I.R.R. trainmen back in Bliss Yard!
With meatball heroes, calzones and veal parm heroes secured in the engine compartment to keep them warm Jimmy Alco couples up to the outbound freight cars and heads out.
The LIRR Transfer eases around the west side curve.
Hello John. Another interesting and impressive PCCM! All I can say is WOW! The NYC FA-2 on the Bedford Turn looks very sharp! I have to say that the Bedford Park Job has become quite busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following along and the compliments Robert!!! The Bedford Park Yard Job has become one of my favorites as it has morphed into a busy role in the virtual ops. Getting used to the limits and clearances has been challenging. John

Acknowledge dispatch of BP-12A/BP-41A Turn for Ford, dispatch of EC-3, and the LIRR Transfer.
West Mill out.
The auto industry once again places demands on the railroad for quick turnaround service. The Turn out of Bedford Park Yard gets it done! Wow! Three PRR covered wagons and a GP30 on the head end of EC-3 have got to be a local fan favorite! I know I enjoyed it! Nice train meet with the LIRR as the PRR units take the front! Sounds on videos was superb. Gotta say that I am envious of the LIRR's crew Italian buffet for the journey home! Put it in the books indeed! A most enjoyable series on the N.Y.C.T.L.!
Thank you Ralph!
DeleteThe LIRR guys are eating good in this op!!
I got lucky with the audio.
Looking forward to #77!

Rock Ridge Yard Out!
This one is in the books! That was a nice meet in Bedford Park. Gotta love those LIRR engines, one of my favorites that was owned by the railroad. There’s never a lull in the action and the freight moves went flawlessly. Of course those Italian heroes may have had something to do with it?
Another great P.C.C.M.!
10-4 Rock Ridge!!!
DeleteThanks for the compliments Sir Neal!!!
