Penn Central Car Movements #87 / NYCTL Part 5

 Greetings All,

Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #87!!!

Our two layout virtual operation with PC Ralph's Kings Port Division interchanging freight cars with my New York Central Layout continues today with the dispatch of our local trains.

The first train out of Terminal Yard today is the Bedford Turn, Train BT-27, powered by an Alco S4.

BT-27 heads thru Bedford with two empties to be delivered to Neubaum's Coffee and Tea Importers.

Empty boxcars BAR #5226 and IC #30130 are spotted at Neubaum's Coffee & Importers for the their next PCCM loads.

The BT-27 starts to shove back to Terminal Yard as train BT-28

Meanwhile at Terminal Yard Train EC-1, a daily transfer to the Empire Belt RRs North Side Yard in Empire City, is on the move.

EC-1 meets BT-28.

EC-1 arrives in North Side Yard.

The caboose is reclaimed and the engines head back towards Terminal Yard as Train EC-2.

Over in Bedford the LIRR transfer freight is heading for Empire City with empty NYC covered hopper #892010 and some non PCCM cars to be interchanged with the Empire Belt at North Side Yard.

The LIRR Transfer heads to North Side Yard.

The LIRR Transfer arrives at North Side Yard.

The LIRR RS3 eases down track #2 and couples up to a pair of Gulf tank cars with diesel fuel from Gulf in West Mill for the LIRR Morris Park Yard and two gondolas of power poles for LILCO.

The LIRR caboose gets coupled onto the MCRR gondola that is going to LILCO with KP&W gondola #2140.

The LIRR Transfer eases out of North Side Yard. The two tank cars of diesel fuel will keep the LIRR locomotives running for a few more PCCMs!

We'll close it out here for today with the LIRR train heading back to Fresh Pond Yard.

We'll pick it up and close it out tomorrow with the Empire Belt RR delivering our final inbound freight cars.

Be sure to follow the action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division!

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See ya tomorrow!!!

T%he Bedford Turn had a small job today but handled it well. Nice meet with EC-1 as your nice looking transfer cabooses pass by each other. Another cool pre-merger/merger consist on EC-1! Also enjoyed the meet with caboose hop EC-2 and the LIRR Transfer! Great stuff for railfans!

Nice meet going thru Bedford. Train EC-1 on the Empire City Viaduct looked great! North Side Yard with freight for the LIRR is always nice to see and of course, brings back memories when I lived on Long Island watching the LIRR switching cars on LI and LIC!
