P.C.C.M. 83 Prelude

 Greetings All,

Penn Central Car Movements #83 is fast approaching and will launch on Friday May 28th. That said the Empire Belt RR guys need to make a few moves to keep the virtual ops freight traffic moving along.

We're at North Side Yard in beautiful Empire City and find senior engineer Sir Neal, PC Ralph and the rest planning todays switching.

PC Ralph draws the Afternoon Industrial Job assignment powered by a pair of GE U23Cs and we catch him heading west on the Empire City secondary track.

The AIJ is on the Empire City viaduct and in the background on the west side storage track is empty EBRR 50' boxcar #360279 that is needed at Reliable Machine Co for its next PCCM load.

At Reliable Machine Co is NYC 50' boxcar #80775 loaded with appliance parts to be forwarded in PCCM 83 to Peerless Appliance located in Mayfield NY.

Empty EBRR 360279 is shoved towards Reliable Machine Co.

The empty boxcar is spotted at Reliable Machine for a load of paper processing machines for International Paper in Rochester NY.

The work on the west side is done and the AIJ heads back to North Side Yard with NYC 80775 and some non PCCM cars in tow.

The AIJ is back at North Side Yard and the EBRR is ready for PCCM 83.

Thanks for reading!!!
See ya Friday!!!

  1. There's always some prep work for our virtual operating sessions. Nice to see the crews are ready to go! Good to see EB 360279 as a highlighted box car. Looking forward to seeing it make its debut on the APRR in the not so distant future...
