Penn Central Car Movements #75 / N.Y.C.T.L. Part 3 / The Outbound Cycle Concludes

Greetings All,

Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #75!!

The outbound portion of this three layout virtual op featuring PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR interchanging freight cars with my New York Central Train Layout concludes today.

We open up at Terminal Yard with 1/87th scale Big Mike running the yard job getting the OK from Kar Knocker to work the BT-27 freight cars brought in yesterday and getting his switch list from the yard master.
IC boxcar 30130 going to Cavendish Fine Foods and AP hopper 9416 going to the K.P.D. get shoved into track 1 joining the very large number of freight cars for the K.P.D. Mayfield Branch.
Four ballast hoppers from T&R Gravel for the APRR MOW Dept join five auto parts boxcars going to the APRR Rock Ridge Yard.
EL 73510 loaded with bagged iron ore and empty LV 8247 are coupled up to a pair of empty Gulf tank cars returning to the K.P.D.
PC 360158 heading to Zenith with TV cabinets from University Millwork is blocked into the K.P.D. train.
After shoving AP 58279 going to C&P Rest Supply with baked goods from Hostess into the APRR train 1/87th scale Big Mike cruises in his SD9 Cadillacs up track #8 to the Pier 16 Grain Silos.
Now at the Pier 16 Grain Silos 1/87th scale Big Mike pulls out a cut of covered hoppers loaded with grain.
In the cut are these three loaded AP covered hoppers.
The AP covered hoppers, consigned to the large Rock Ridge Cargill Facility, are coupled onto the APRR train which will go out as train SK-5.
Next stop is the Terminal Yard T.O.F.C. track to pull this block of cars going to the Williams Yard TO.F.C. Ramp.
The yard job puts the finishing touches on the K.P.D. train that will go out as Train SK-7.
It's time to bring out the power! Engine Hostler Wet Wille heads to the ready track to grab this GE-EMD-GE consist for Train SK-5.
The three engine lash up is coupled on.
U28B 2822 leads Train SK-5 out of the yard.

Be sure to catch the rest of the outbound action on
PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and
Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.
We'll start the inbound portions on Thursday August 13th.

The rail traffic bulletin issued from Rock Ridge Yard remains in effect. Severe weather has caused power outages with downed trees and other storm debris blocking the A.P.R.R. Right Of Way. We hope to have the AP.R.R. back online shortly.

A special thanks to 1:1 PC Ralph for co founding the Penn Central Car Movements and 1:1 Sir Neal who joined in early and has become an integral part of the virtual ops.

Thanks for watching!!!
See ya Thursday!!!

Always enjoyable to follow the action t the large Terminal Yard that can accommodate long strings of cars! SK-5 is composed of an admirable collection of freelanced road equipment! You know I appreciated the locomotive selection for SK-7! Nice job getting the cars out! See you on Thursday!

Thank you for the compliments Ralph! Glad you appreciated the SK-7 PC Ralph inspired power consist! I never would have ran an F7A-F7A-F7B-GP30 consist if you had not introduced me to some of the PC motive power practices.
