New York - New Jersey Ops #3 Part 5 / Inbound Traffic Starts to be Delivered

Welcome Back to New York-New Jersey Ops #3!!!

NY-NJ Ops #3 continues today with the NYCTL beginning to deliver freight traffic from the first inbound trains from Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad's Rock Ridge Yard. 

We open up today's action in the engine terminal with Alco Joe called for Train EC-1 picking up his motive power.

The engines are coupled onto the EC-1 freight consist and the train is getting ready for departure.

Train EC-1 heads to North Side Yard

Alco Joe and conductor Murray check in with the EBRR trainmen.

The PC crew heads back to Terminal Yard as Train EC-1 running as lite engines.

Conductor John and Sir Neal plan their moves. The four engine consist will come in handy today!

The Belt Job shoves out of North Side Yard.

The first move today is to pull empty covered hoppers from the Quaker Oats Plant.

Loaded APRR, EBRR and PC covered hoppers from Cargill in Rock Ridge, NJ and a Morton Salt covered hopper from Morton Salt also in Rock Ridge are shoved into the Quaker Plant.

The next move is to deliver GB&W Thrall All Door Boxcar #54 making its NY-NJ debut to Neal's Lumber & Hardware loaded with lumber from the Potlatch Corp.

Next stop is Empire Produce to deliver one UPFE and two WFE 57' reefers loaded with apples from Kerr Orchards in Washington.

Fast forward to the Hohman Ave Industrial Park we catch empty PC boxcars #160502 and #140772 being spotted at Superior Furniture for their next NY-NJ loads.

Some non NY-NJ traffic gets delivered to other Hohman Ave Industrial Park industries.

Empty PC boxcars #360063 and #360508 are shoved into the Walsh Steel Wool Products siding for their net NY-NJ loads.

The Belt Job has finished its switching work and prepares to head back to North Side Yard.

The Belt Job arrives in North Side Yard.

The guys head to the office to submit their paperwork to the yard clerks.

Over in the Terminal Yard engine terminal a PC engineer checks in with engine hostler Wet Willie and picks up a pair of GP7s assigned to todays Train MR-1 also known as the Gravel Job.

The Gravel Job prepares to depart Terminal Yard with empty APRR ballast hoppers and empty PC PS2 covered hoppers to be delivered to T&R Gravel hence the Gravel Job moniker.

Train MR-1 makes its moves .

The empty APRR Ballast Hoppers are spotted at T&R Gravel for their next NY-NJ loads.

Empty PC PS2 covered hoppers are also spotted at T&R Gravel for their next NY-NJ loads of locomotive sand.

The Gravel Job crew checks in with the EB Tower operator and is cleared to shove back to Terminal Yard as Train MR-2.

Train MR-2 returns to Terminal Yard.

We'll cut it here for today with the GP7s returned unharmed to the engine terminal.

We'll pick it up tomorrow with Penn Central Train Extra 2647 from Rock Ridge Yard heading to Terminal Yard.
