  1. A Railfan's delight! That was a great compilation of trains. I did notice a few things that I've never seen or I must have missed in all the years watching your videos and looking at your photos.

First one I caught was the NYC switchers with the calf in the middle. Next was that classic B&O ETA solid blue paint scheme. Another great one was the EMD E8 Demonstrator with the Mars light. Of course, it's great to see Alco Haulics on parade!

Thank you for taking the time to compile all of these great trains that run on the N.Y.C.T.L.

    Happy Holidays!

    Sir Neal

    1. Thank you Sir Neal!!! Glad you enjoyed the video! This is the most wonderful time of the year for the NYCTL as seldom seen motive power and equipment enjoy some time in the spotlight or snowflakes. B&O E7A is a factory painted Con-Cor model. I painted the NYC calf several years ago. It's a BB unit with a track cleaning pad installed. The E8A Demo is a P-2000 model.

  2. What a superb collection of motive power at the head end of these well researched Name Trains! Thanks for the opportunity to see them all rolling through Empire City Station and other railfan hot spots on the N.Y.C.T.L.! I rode the Amtrak versions of the Lake Shore Limited and the Broadway Limited in the 1970s going to and from college. Service wasn't up to the standards of these Golden Age of Passenger Railroading trains but I enjoyed the trips! Newly painted B&O E7? Looks fantastic as do all the other locomotives! Thanks for another Christmas gift to your blog followers!

    1. Thank you very much Ralph!!! I was glad to know about your passenger train travel and how much you enjoyed it. The old NYC Lake Shore Ltd Was a 16-17car train out GCT in its heyday. The PRR Broadway Ltd was their all sleeper flagship.

The B&O E7A is factory painted. I was inferring that it was in the new B&O scheme since it was pulling HW cars in the older B&O scheme. Sorry for the confusion.
