P.C.C.M. 61 / NYCTL Part 3

Greetings All,

Welcome back to the P.C.C.M. 61 series!!!

It's all Penn Central today as we focus on Terminal Yard and the dispatching of the NYCTL's outbound trains.

1/87th scale Alco Joe and Big Mike are holding down the yard jobs today. Alco Joe will be working the departure yard job with the trio of EMDs while Big Mike works some of the yard limits industries.
The departure yard job gets busy sorting and blocking tonight's outbound trains.
Four covered hoppers for the big Cargill Facility are shoved into the outbound cars for Rock Ridge Yard on the APRR.
TLDX #7241 is shoved into the outbound cars for West Mill on the KPD. The PC covered hopper and two 57' reefers on track #7 will be going to Denver on the RCR.
1/87th scale Big Mike is working the siding at Bruce Electrical Equipment in Lehigh Valley SW-9 #292. Parent road Penn Central has sent this 'pup' to Terminal Yard to keep Big Mike happy. 1/87th scale Kar Knocker has been called over to see about removing the beehive spark arrestors that Big Mike fans know he hates.
1/87th scale Big Mike shoves the three PC RBL's loaded with electrical components from Bruce Electric Equipment for IDEAL Auto Parts in Rock Ridge NJ towards the departure yard for pick up by Alco Joe.
1/87th scale Alco Joe continues building the outbound trains in the departure yard. The Tropicana boxcar is heading back to Tropicana in Rock Ridge NJ on the APRR.
Meanwhile over at the Terminal Yard shop the shop switcher, GE 44 tonner #9999 is shoving a pair of PC gons loaded with scrap for Kings Port Steel and a PC depressed center flatcar with a rebuilt EMD Prime Mover for the Kings Port & Western RR to the yard.
1/87th scale Alco Joe has picked up the shop cars and is now working the TOFC track picking up three TOFC cars for Williams Yard on the KPD.
The departure yard is filling up quickly with cars for the RCR, APRR and KPD
The yard job is now working Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage pulling five reefers for C&P Restaurant Supply on the APRR and the Empire Belt boxcar loaded with merchandise for Montgomery-Ward in Denver CO on the RCR.
The yard job shoves the cars for Rock Ridge Yard back on track #8 to await a caboose and motive power.
The outbound trains are ready and it's time to grab the cabooses.
The yard job tacks a NYC bay window caboose onto train LI-1 with cars for West Mill after tacking the PC wide vision caboose onto train NV-3 with cars for Rock Ridge.
The power is called and coupled on. A pair of GP35s sandwiching a pair of GP7s will power train NV-3 for Selkirk and the APRR's Rock Ridge Yard.
A pair of GE four axle B Boats with a pair of GP7s are the power for Train LI-1 for Selkirk and the KPD's West Mill Yard.
GP-20 #2103 is assigned to Extra 2103 going to Selkirk with cars for RCR's Elkhart Yard.
Extra 2103 gets the call at 0130 hrs to follow Train LS-1
 to Selkirk and Elkhart.

    Rock Ridge Yard out!

An incredible amount of freight heading out and a great deal of revenue generated. Glad to see Big Mike is a happy camper these days.

The APRR will be heading up to Selkirk to pick up the inbound freight for Rock Ridge and beyond!

I think you just set the new record for most trains and freight dispatched from one of the virtual ops yards! Fantastic work by the yard crews with the trio of switchers and the LV unit for Big Mike which was a nice touch! I enjoyed seeing the caboose work before the trains were released. NV-3 is a looonnng train! Great work all around! West Mill and Williams Yard will be prepared for all of the incoming cars!

Thanks for the compliments Ralph!! There's a lot of freight coming out of terminal Yard this series!!! I am 100% positive that the KPD, KP&W, APRR and RCR can handle it.
