Penn Central Car Movement #100 Part 5 / PC Local Trains Deliver the Freight

  Greetings All,

Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #100!!!

Our four layout virtual with my NYCTL interchanging freight cars with atjoe1972's Ralston Creek RR PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR continues today with the Penn Central local trains continuing to deliver the PCCM freight cars.

The action starts today in Terminal Yard with Train BT-27, the Bedford Turn, preparing for departure.
Train BT-27 heads to Bedford.
The Turn begins working the Bedford Industrial Siding.
The BT-27 works the industrial siding.
TPFX boxcar #5510 (PCCM car #1) loaded with lumber products from Triangle Pacific in N. Vancouver is spotted at University Millwork with a non PCCM car of more Canadian lumber.
PC boxcar #360158 loaded with flour from Blue Ribbon Flour in Kings Port, NY and WP boxcar #26846 loaded with bulk sugar from Great Western Sugar in Denver, CO are spotted at the Hostess / Wonder Bread Plant.
The ex NYC SW8 is ready to make its runaround move to bring the Bedford Turn back to Terminal Yard but will hold for train TE-16.
Train TE-16 from Selkirk meets the Bedford Turn SW8 as it heads to Terminal Yard with PCCM traffic for Empire City, NY.
The Bedford Turn, Train BT-28, arrives back in Terminal Yard.
The Bedford Turn power joins the newly arrived TE-16 power in the Terminal Yard engine terminal. Ex PRR power is starting to gain a foothold.
Big Mike and Kar Knocker are ready to get the newly arrived inbound freight consists of the TE-16 and BT-28 inspected and broken down for their next movements.
While that is going on assistant car knocker and hostler Wet Willie have Train CJ-1, the Coal Job, ready to depart for Hudson Coal.
The Coal Job heads to Hudson Coal.
The loaded hoppers start getting pulled out.
The last of the loaded hoppers leave Hudson Coal,
The CJ-1 makes a long pull down the Bedford Secondary Track and shoves the empties back to Hudson Coal..
The CJ-1 has delivered the empty APRR coal hoppers that arrived yesterday in Train SP-10 to Hudson Coal for their next PCCM loads.
The GP7s are coupled up to the loaded coal hoppers on the secondary and get held for Train LI-2 from Selkirk bringing PCCM freight cars for the LIRR to Terminal Yard
Train LI-2 meets train CJ-2
Both the LI-2 and CJ-2 have arrived in Terminal Yard and are being readied for inspection.
We'll cut it here for today with Big Mike setting out BRMX reefer #5298 for the 16A crew to pickup and move to Yard A for perishable service inspection.
We'll pick it up tomorrow with the 16A Job and then head over to Empire City with a transfer run of PCCM freight cars. We'll check in with the EBRR and chase the Belt Job.
Be sure to catch all of the PCCM 100 action on Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR, PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and atjoe 1972's Ralston Creek RR

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See you tomorrow!!!

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

I like the meets that you have at Bedford as it highlights all the action that takes place on the NYCTL. Very impressive CJ-1 and CJ-2 trains with a lot of motive power. The image of Hudson Coal with all of those hopper cars waiting to be loaded is a testament to what you’ve accomplished on the layout. Nice to see TE-16 made the appearance, I was getting worried it wasn’t going to arrive at Terminal Yard! (smiling)!

    Great work Sir John!!

Thank you for the compliments 1:1 Sir Neal!
There is some big time railroading happening in PCCM 100 across the layouts. It's been much fun and I too was happy to see the TE-16!

    West Mill out.

Three inbound trains with PCCM cars from Selkirk to Terminal mean a lot of car forwarding on the N.Y.C.T.L.! The Bedford Turn does a nice job working with its share! Coal traffic was heavy in this series and the CJ-1/CJ-2 loads out/ empties move was great rail action to observe! Its also been fun to follow the travels of first PCCM car TPFX #5510! Train meets and lots of switching action make this installment a pleasure to read!

Thanks for the compliments Ralph!!! Coal traffic has definitely been heavy in PCCM 100 and should continue to be heavy in PCCM 101. I was very happy you included the TPFX 5510 in this op and it was scheduled for movements on my layout.
