Penn Central Car Movements #75 / N.Y.C.T.L. Part 4 / The Inbound Cycle Begins

 Greetings All,

Welcome back to Penn Central Car Movements #75

The inbound portion of this three layout virtual op featuring PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR interchanging freight cars with my New York Central Train Layout starts today.

Penn Central Train TY-2 (Selkirk to Terminal Yard) comes thru Empire City on the last leg of it's journey behind a pair of GP38-2s.

TY-2 rumbles thru Bedford and enters Terminal Yard

The GP38-2s have cut off from TY-2 and head out onto the yard ladder.

The TY-2 engines head into the engine terminal.
1/87th scale Kar Knocker gets ready to inspect TY-2 freight cars as the yard job pulls off the caboose.
A couple of hours later the inspection is complete and the yard job gets to work breaking down the train.
Eight coal hoppers from TY-2 are shoved into track #6 to make up today's Coal Job.
The yard job blocks the TY-2 freight cars into Long Island, Empire City and Bedford blocks.
A few hours later a GP35-F7A-GP35 consist powers the Coal Job.
Ex NYC 2399 with prototypical dynamic brakes leads the Coal Job down the grade from Terminal Yard towards Hudson Coal.
The loaded hoppers start getting pulled from Hudson Coal.
The brakeman monitors the car movements.
The last of the loaded hoppers are pulled out of Hudson Coal and the Coal Job heads down the the Bedford Secondary to prepare for it's runaround move.
The empties cross over to the main.
The empties are shoved back towards Hudson Coal.
Empties from the Port Owen Power Plant are spotted for their next P.C.C.M.

loads.
The power consist has coupled up to the loaded coal hoppers and the Coal Job moves out for Terminal Yard.
The Coal Job heads upgrade to Terminal Yard.
The Coal Job is back at Terminal Yard and brings the loaded coal hoppers over the weigh in motion scale.
We'll cut it here today with the Coal Job power consist heading back into the engine terminal.

We'll pick it up tomorrow with the dispatch of Penn Central Train EC-1 from Terminal Yard to the Empire Belt RRs North Side Yard in Empire City.

Be sure to catch the rest of the inbound action on
PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and
Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR.

Thanks for reading and watching!!!
See ya tomorrow.

Acknowledge arrival of TY-2 and the dispatch of the Coal Job.

    West Mil out.

Incoming cars from the Kings Port Division arrive in style behind a pair of GP38-2s! I really enjoyed the roll-by videos with the nicely coordinated sound! Coal operations take precedence in the rest of the post and are a pleasure to follow...especially with the GP35-F7A-GP35 lashup on the Coal Job! All that work you did weathering your coal hopper interiors shows beautifully in photos of multiple hoppers!

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

Nice work by train TY-2. Those GP38-2 engines look mighty sharp heading into the servicing tracks. Looks like Hudson Coal was ready for those empty coal cars. Coal is in high demand this time of the year and nice to see them turn those cars quickly!
