P.C.C.M. 66 / NYCTL Part 1

Greetings All,

Welcome to Penn Central Car Movements #66!!!
This will be a three layout virtual op with
PC Ralph's Kings Port Division,
 Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific RR
and my NYCTL.

The backstory in P.C.C.M. 65 had the Penn Central line between Weehawken and the APRR's Rock Ridge Yard knocked out due to a derailment. With the line now open we can start getting the embargoed cars moving along with the other revenue cars.

We open at the Empire Belt RRs North Side Yard with 1/87th scale PC Ralph and his trusty brakeman / conductor getting ready to sort out the yard.
Four cars and a caboose make up today's Morning Industrial Job on track 2. On track 3 sits EB-2, the outbound transfer train to PC's Terminal Yard.
1/87th scale PC Ralph brings the M.I.J. down the industrial running track towards Hohman Ave to access the siding to the right.
The M.I.J. shoves into the midtown siding
to pick up this pair of loaded reefers at Empire Produce going to C&P Restaurant Supply via the newly opened line to Rock Ridge.
NYC 892010 gets spotted at Red Wing Milling for it's next PCCM load.
The M.I.J. is now shoving back to the eastside industrial siding and we get a good look at the cars going out on today's EB-2.
Empty KP&W Coil Coaches returning to Kings Port Steel for their next PCCM loads are pulled from Gervais Pipe.
The M.I.J. shoves back to Ralph's Grocery Warehouse to pick up a trio of empty EBRR boxcars while a line of hungry patrons forms outside Pizza Land for the early bird lunch special.
With the siding now clear EBRR Gondola 509823 is spotted at Gervais Pipe for its next PCCM load.
Next on the eastside switch list is to pull this Cargill covered hopper from Cargill loaded with wheat flour for Blue Ribbon Flour in Kings Port NY.
With the eastside switching done 1/87th scale PC Ralph brings the Morning Industrial Job west towards Hohman Ave and the westside industrial complex.
First stop for the M.I.J is the westside storage track to pick up three APRR covered hoppers that were stored here in PCCM 65 when the line to Rock Ridge Yard was closed after the derailment.
Now at Moore & Company the M.I.J. picks up NYC 80775 loaded with bulk cardboard for Canton Box in West Mill NY.
The M.I.J. shoves back to Drywell Inks to pickup PC boxcar 104478 loaded with drums of ink for Canton Box in West Mill NY
With the west side switch work done the M.I.J. heads thru midtown towards the east side entrance of North Side Yard.
1/87th scale PC Ralph brings the M.I.J. into North Side Yard.
After getting the cars from the M.I.J. into train EB-2 for transfer to Terminal Yard 1/87th scale PC Ralph once again has the Alco FA-FB-FA lash up cranked up and in service.
The Alcos are coupled onto the head end of the train and will lead EB-2 to Terminal Yard.
Todays EB-2 is a very long train stretching out of the yard
and around the east side past the projects.

An alert Empire City railfan catches EB-2 heading past the station  on it's way to Terminal Yard

EB-2 passes the Bedford Tower and gets a roll by inspection from 1/87th scale John B.
We'll cut it here today with EB-2 arriving at Terminal Yard.
We'll close out the outbound portion tomorrow with a very busy  Yard Job and the dispatch of out outbound train.

Be sure to follow the action on
PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and

Thanks for reading and watching!!
See ya tomorrow!!!

Nice work gathering cars for this series and making moves to prepare for the next! The six unit EB-2 is a treat to watch roll by! Those dark green EBRR cars rolling past the projects are really eye catching!
