Greetings All,
Welcome back to PCCM #113
Our three layout virtual op continues today with my layout interchanging freight traffic with Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad.
The action starts at Terminal Yard with Big Mike and Kar Knocker getting to work on the trains that arrived in the yard late yesterday.
PCCM freight traffic to be interchanged with the B&O includes a block of APRR and EBRR empty reefers to be moved to their next PCCM loads.
EBRR caboose 1604 is placed on the caboose track.
SD9s head into the yard to begin their work as EL Alcos head out of the yard for return to West 28th Street Yard.A couple of hours later Big Mike has the yard set up and heads to the engine terminal.
Big Mike leaves the 6921 and 6924 in the capable hands of engine hostler Wet Willie before heading home.
Meanwhile the B&O 16th Street Yard Transfer and EPA Switcher are starting their work. The B&O 9552 is pulling GM&O boxcar 21129 from Bruce Electric Equipment loaded with wire harnesses and controls for Peerless Appliance in Mayfield, NY.The B&O 16th Street Transfer heads to Terminal Yard.
After delivering the interchange traffic to Terminal Yard the B&O 7614 & 3547 pull the PCCM traffic for their next movements.
The PCCM traffic is placed on track 8A so the B&O guys will have enough headroom within the yard limits to make the long pull from the Terminal Warehouse & Cold Storage (TWCS) complex. The B&O makes the long pull from the TWCS siding.
PCCM traffic from the TWCS gets placed in Terminal Yard for its next movements.
The B&O crew heads back to 16th Street Yard. The B&O Train ties down in 16th Street Yard.
Meanwhile over in Bedford Park engineer Robert R. has reported for duty to run the Bedford Park Yard Job and the Bedford Turn. Todays power is a pair of ex NYC and PRR RS1s. Robert R. starts his work at American Hardware Supply pulling PC boxcar 150502 loaded with bulk hardware for IBM in Binghamton, NY.
The next move is to pull empty PC boxcar 142770 for movement to its next PCCM load and a non PCCM NH boxcar. Now working the Bedford Park Ford Plant Robert R pulls empty PC, KP&W and NYC 60' boxcars for movement back to Acme Auto Parts in Mayfield, NY for their next PCCM loads.
Robert R has the Bedford Park freight traffic ready to head to Terminal Yard as Train BP-12 and holds for clearance at Bedford Tower.Train BP-12 proceeds to Terminal Yard.
The BP-12 rolls into Terminal Yard.
After uncoupling from the BP-12 freight consist Robert R is now at the throttle of the 9921 and couples up to the non PCCM freight traffic to be shoved to Bedford Park.
Train BP-41 departs Terminal Yard.
The BP-41 has arrived at Bedford Park and begins its work delivering empty non PCCM auto racks to the Ford Plant.
Two non PCCM covered hoppers of plastic pellets are shoved into the Ford siding.
Back at Terminal Yard Big Mike is back on duty and starts his work by cutting empty PC boxcar 142770 into Train BT-27 for movement to its next PCCM load.A non PCCM NH boxcar is placed at American Hardware Supply.
Robert R ties down his engines and caboose in Bedford Park Yard as the All City Storage dock worker continues to try and open the door with his clicker. Try getting some new batteries!!!PCCM freight traffic for the KPD/KP&W gets blocked in track 2.
APRR freight traffic is blocked in track 3.
We'll pick it up tomorrow back in Terminal Yard with the dispatch of our final local and road trains
This closes out Part 2 on the NYCTL. Be sure to catch all the PCCM action on PC Ralph's Kings Port Division and Sir Neal's Atlantic Pacific Railroad.

Terminal Yard has become a busier place and even cooler place to railfan now that B&O and EL transfer are seen daily! The 16th St. Transfer provided a treat with the colorful Chessie System livery! Times are changing if the auto parts transfer took lower priority on that meet! Ha! For the want of fresh batteries work will take more time at All City Storage! Nice job moving the freight with some notable consists from the B&O trasnfer to the F units on the train to Selkirk to the RS1s at Bedford!
